Citrus Solvent for Cleaning Up Wet Paint from Dry Paint

Orange-Sol —  May 21, 2016

With the amount of preparations that should be done for painting, especially on the inside of a house, it can be a daunting task. Even with the proper preparation steps, mistakes still occur frequently whether the painters, homeowners, or the paint store is at fault. How do you clean up wet paint from a dry paint?

When the paint or wet oil-based stain applied is the wrong color or it’s a full-gloss rather than semi-gloss, the differences stick out like a sore thumb once the paint is dried and cured. Even so, it’s often noticible when wet. Or when the wrong paint or stain merely splashed onto dry painted walls or other painted surfaces, a product that removes the spill but not the cured paint comes in handy. For errors such as this during a time-crunch, a quick and easy fix can make life so much easier.

De-Solv-it Contractors Solvent is biodegradable and safe to use on many surfaces including cured paint. The specialty cleaner has the ability to remove fresh oil-based paint, without harming dried and cured paints. It will also remove many other spills such as caulk, silicone, wet oil-based stain without removing the dry painted surface it lands on. The same applies when wet paint lands on dry stained surfaces including cabinets, floors and walls. Remove the wet paint without removing what it lands on.

For example, say you are going through the inside of your house after it had been painted a few weeks prior, touching up spots that had been missed. You make a careless act by not paying attention to the label on the paint can and see that it is the wrong shade of color and gloss. You don’t have time to wait for the wet paint to dry and make another coat (with the correct color), so you need a quick solution.

De-Solv-it Contractors’ Solvent can be applied to the wet paint mistakes, without harming the cured paint applied prior. The citrus cleaning solvent can also be applied to painted wood, car paintwork and clear coat finish, ceramic, as well as Portland concrete and block/brick. Apply the orange cleaner, wipe or scrub when necessary (i.e. concrete), and then rinse off with a clean damp cloth.

With a virtually endless list of surfaces that De-Solv-it Contractors Solvent can be used on, it’s a product that is safe to use in just about any situation and any location. No sticky mess, no toxic fumes or harmful chemicals. It is a mom approved solvent that can be used all around the house.
